Our Philosophy
Tannie Net's Daycare is built on the belief that children learn best when they feel safe, loved and free to explore the world around them.

We believe every child is capable, curious and unique. Rather than rushing children through milestones, we create an environment where they can learn through play, relationships, conversation and hands-on experiences.
Our role is not to direct every moment of a child's day, but to observe, support and gently guide their natural development.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach
The Reggio Emilia approach views children as capable learners who are naturally curious about the world around them.

At Tannie Net's Daycare, this means we:

-
Follow children's interests and questions
-
Encourage exploration through play
-
Create inviting learning spaces
-
Value creativity and self-expression
-
Use real-world experiences and materials
-
Build strong relationships between children, families and educators
Rather than focusing on worksheets or formal lessons, we believe that meaningful learning happens when children investigate, create, move, communicate and discover at their own pace.
What This Looks Like in Practice
You might find us building towers from cardboard boxes, investigating insects under a tree, creating artwork with natural materials, dancing to music or having long conversations about a child's latest fascination.

To us, these every day moments are not separate from learning - they are learning.
Small Group Care
Every child is known, valued and supported through personalized attention in a small, nurturing environment.

A Home Away From Home
Children spend their days in a warm, family-centered environment where they feel safe, secure and loved.

Child-Led Learning
We follow children's interests and encourage exploration, creativitiy and meaningful learning experiences.
