Our Space
Every corner of Tannie Net's Daycare has been carefully designed to encourage exploration, creativity, independence and a sense of belonging.
Indoor Playroom
Our indoor playroom is where much of our day begins. Children have access to open-ended toys, books, puzzles, loose parts and creative materials that encourage curiosity and learning through play.
The Stoep
Our stoep is where some of the day's biggest adventures happen. This versatile space allows children to enjoy the benefits of fresh air while remaining protected from the weather, making it a favourite play area throughout the year.
From sensory activities and messy play to movement games, climbing, building and imaginative adventures, the stoep is carefully prepared to encourage curiosity, confidence and joyful learning. As with all areas of Tannie Net's Daycare, the environment evolves alongside the children's interests, creating meaningful opportunities for exploration every day.
Outside Play Area
Our outside play area gives children space to run, climb, balance, explore and enjoy fresh air every day. With natural shade from our large trees, the garden offers a calm and inviting space for outdoor learning throughout the year.
Children are encouraged to develop confidence, coordination and imagination through open-ended play, water play, sensory experiences, climbing, balancing and nature-based exploration.
Rest & Sleep
Rest is an important part of every child's day. We provide a calm and comfortable environment where children can relax, recharge and feel secure. Sleep routines are discussed with parents and respected as far as possible to ensure consistency between home and daycare.
Children are encouraged to rest at their own pace, with comfort, reassurance and gentle support always available when needed.
Mealtimes Together
Mealtimes are an important part of our day and provide opportunities for connection, conversation and the development of independence. Children are encouraged to participate in a calm and positive mealtime environment where good manners, self-help skills and healthy eating habits are gently supported.
Our child-sized table creates a welcoming space where children can enjoy meals and snacks together, practise social skills and develop confidence in their growing independence.
Safety & Security
Children's safety is our highest priority. Our environment is carefully designed to encourage safe exploration, independence and learning while ensuring appropriate supervision at all times.
The daycare is fully enclosed and secured, with age-appropriate equipment, regular safety checks and clear procedures in place to support the wellbeing of every child in our care. CCTV cameras are installed in the main areas of the daycare, with additional coverage planned as the facility continues to grow.
